Diphthong /eɪ/

Examples:

Phrasal Verbs

A phrasal verb is a verb joined with another word to give a special meaning.

Examples:

wake up – stop sleeping

sit down – take a seat

stand up – rise to your feet

put on – wear something

take off – remove clothing

pick up – lift something

look after – take care of

Sentences

  • I wake up at 6 o’clock.
  • Please sit down.
  • Ada put on her uniform.
  • Tunde picked up the book.
  • My mother looks after the baby.

Composition: My School

My school is a beautiful place. It has many classrooms and a large playground. My teachers are kind and hardworking. We learn English Studies, Mathematics, Science and other subjects. I enjoy going to school because I learn new things every day.
