Traditional Government

Traditional government is leadership based on the customs and traditions of a people. Traditional leaders may include:

Features of Traditional Government

1. It is based on culture and customs.
2. Traditional rulers lead the people.
3. Elders may assist the ruler.
4. Traditional laws and practices are respected.

Constitutional Government

Constitutional government is government carried out according to the constitution. A constitution is a body of important rules and laws guiding a country.

Features of Constitutional Government

1. Government follows written laws.
2. Leaders have duties stated by law.
3. Citizens have rights.
4. Leaders can be chosen through elections.
5. Government officials must obey the constitution.
