E: CONTENT

Meaning of a Leader

A leader is a person who guides or directs a group of people. Examples include:

  • class captain;
  • head teacher;
  • community leader;
  • governor;
  • president.

Qualities of a Good Leader

A good leader should be:

  1. Honest.
  2. Fair.
  3. Responsible.
  4. Hard-working.
  5. Kind.
  6. Patient.
  7. Respectful.
  8. Ready to listen.

Fairness in Leadership

A good leader should treat people equally and avoid favouritism.

Honesty in Leadership

An honest leader tells the truth and does not misuse what belongs to the people.

Responsibilities of Followers

Followers should:

  • obey good rules;
  • respect leaders;
  • cooperate with leaders;
  • give useful suggestions;
  • avoid violence.

Leaders and Followers

Good leadership works best when leaders and followers cooperate.
