Why We Need Food

Food is very important to the body.

1. Food Gives Energy

We need energy to:

  • learn.

Children need good food to grow strong and healthy. Examples of growth foods include:

  • beans,
  • eggs,
  • fish,
  • milk,
  • meat.

3. Food Helps Repair the Body

Good food helps the body repair damaged or worn-out parts.

4. Food Helps Us Stay Healthy

Fruits and vegetables help protect the body and keep us healthy. Examples:

  • 🍊 orange,
  • 🥭 mango,
  • 🥕 carrot,
  • 🥬 vegetables.

Healthy Eating Habits

We should:

  1. Eat clean food.
  2. Eat different types of food.
  3. Eat fruits and vegetables.
  4. Drink clean water.
  5. Avoid too many sweets and sugary drinks.
  6. Wash our hands before eating.
