E: CONTENT

Meaning of Habitat

A habitat is the natural place where an animal lives. Different animals live in different places.

Places Where Animals Live

Animals may live:

  1. In houses.
  2. On farms.
  3. In forests.
  4. In water.
  5. In trees.
  6. In holes in the ground.

Examples: 🐟 Fish — water. 🐦 Bird — nest/tree. 🐇 Rabbit — burrow or shelter. 🦁 Lion — grassland or wild habitat.

Domestic Animals

Domestic animals are animals kept by people at home or on farms. Examples: 🐕 Dog. 🐈 Cat. 🐐 Goat. 🐄 Cow. 🐓 Chicken. 🐑 Sheep. Domestic animals may be kept for:

  • Food.
  • Work.
  • Protection.
  • Companionship.

Wild Animals

Wild animals live mainly in natural environments and are not normally kept as household animals. Examples: 🦁 Lion. 🐘 Elephant. 🐒 Monkey. 🐊 Crocodile. 🐍 Many snakes.

We should not approach wild animals.
