Letter Sounds

Letters have sounds.

Today, we will learn the sounds of A, B and D.

Sound /a/

A makes the sound /a/.

Examples:

🐜 Ant

🪓 Axe

Sound /b/

B makes the sound /b/.

Examples:

⚽ Ball

👜 Bag

🚌 Bus

Sound /d/

D makes the sound /d/.

Examples:

🐶 Dog

🦆 Duck

🚪 Door

The teacher says each sound while the pupils repeat.

My Family

A family is made up of people who are related to us.

Examples are:

👧 Sister

Pupils can say:

• This is my father.

1. Revises letters A–Z with the pupils.
