Revision of Money
If 5 books cost ₦2,500:
Cost of one book:
₦2,500 ÷ 5 = ₦500
Revision of Length
1 m = 100 cm
1 km = 1,000 m
Example:
4 km = 4,000 m
Revision of Perimeter
For a square:
Perimeter = 4 × side
If side = 6 cm:
Perimeter = 4 × 6
\= 24 cm
Revision of Area
Rectangle:
Area = length × breadth
If length = 8 cm and breadth = 5 cm:
Area = 8 × 5
\= 40 cm²
Revision of Volume
Cuboid:
Volume = length × breadth × height
Example:
5 cm × 4 cm × 3 cm
\= 60 cm³
Revision of Capacity
1 L = 1,000 mL
Example:
3 L = 3,000 mL
Revision of Weight
1 kg = 1,000 g
1 tonne = 1,000 kg
Example:
4 kg = 4,000 g
Revision of Time
60 minutes = 1 hour
Example:
180 minutes = 3 hours
Revision of Speed, Distance and Time
Speed = Distance ÷ Time
Example:
A car covers 150 km in 3 hours.
Speed:
150 ÷ 3
\= 50 km/h
