Revision of Whole Numbers

Example:

45,600,120

is read as:

Forty-five million, six hundred thousand, one hundred and twenty.

Revision of HCF and LCM

Find the HCF of 12 and 18.
Factors of 12:
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12
Factors of 18:
1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 18
HCF = 6
LCM of 4 and 6 = 12

Revision of Fractions

1/2 + 1/4 = 3/4

3/4 − 1/4 = 1/2

Revision of Percentage

Find 25% of 200.
25/100 × 200 = 50

Revision of Ratio

Simplify:

12 : 8

Divide both by 4:

3 : 2

Revision of Binary Numbers

101₂ = 5₁₀

110₂ = 6₁₀

Revision of BODMAS

Solve:

4 + 3 × 5

Multiplication comes first.
3 × 5 = 15
4 + 15 = 19
