Dialogue
A dialogue is a conversation between two or more people.
Example:
Ada: Good morning, Tunde.
Tunde: Good morning, Ada. How are you?
Ada: I am fine. Have you completed your assignment?
Tunde: Yes, I completed it last night.
Good Conversation
A good conversation requires us to:
- Speak clearly.
- Listen carefully.
- Take turns.
- Be polite.
- Stay on the topic.
Formation of Verbs
Some verbs can be formed from adjectives.
Examples:
- short → shorten
- wide → widen
- weak → weaken
- strong → strengthen
- bright → brighten
Sentences:
- Please shorten the rope.
- The rain may weaken the wall.
- Exercise can strengthen the body.
Expository Writing
An expository composition explains or gives information about something.
It should contain facts and clear explanations.
Topic: Clean and Safe Water
Clean water is important for good health. We need water for drinking, cooking and washing. Drinking dirty water can cause diseases. We can keep water safe by storing it in clean, covered containers.
