E: CONTENT

Objects and Their Functions

A function is the work or purpose of something.

Examples:

✏️ A pencil is used for writing.

✂️ Scissors are used for cutting.

🪑 A chair is used for sitting.

🧹 A broom is used for sweeping.

🚲 A bicycle is used for transportation.

Cause and Effect

A cause is why something happens.

An effect is what happens as a result.

Example:

It rained heavily, so the road became flooded.

• Cause: It rained heavily.
• Effect: The road became flooded.

Another example:

Ada studied hard, so she passed her examination.

Using “So…That”

We use so…that to show a result.

Examples:

• The bag was so heavy that I could not lift it.
• The food was so hot that I could not eat it.
• Tunde ran so fast that he won the race.

Composition: My Bicycle

My bicycle is blue. It has two wheels, a seat and a bell. I use it to ride around my compound. I keep it clean and safe. I like my bicycle because it helps me move from one place to another.
