Roles of Family Members

Family members have different responsibilities.

Examples:

👨 Father may provide for and protect the family.

👩 Mother may care for the home and children.

👦👧 Children should:

• obey their parents.
• help with household duties.
• keep their rooms clean.
• respect family members.

All family members should help one another.

Linking Words

Linking words join words, sentences or ideas together.

Examples include:

• because
• but
• so
• although
• therefore

Examples

Because

Ada stayed at home because she was ill.

But

Tunde is young but strong.

So

It was raining, so we stayed inside.

Although

Although Chika was tired, she finished her work.

Therefore

The road was flooded; therefore, we took another route.
