E: CONTENT

Dangers of Drug Abuse

Drug abuse can harm the body and affect a person’s life.

1. It Can Cause Sickness

Using drugs wrongly may make a person ill.

2. It Can Harm the Body

Wrong drug use can damage important parts of the body.

3. It Can Cause Accidents

Some drugs may make a person weak, sleepy or unable to think clearly. This may lead to accidents.

4. It Can Affect Schoolwork

A child who is unwell or affected by harmful substances may:

  • miss school,
  • find it difficult to learn,
  • perform poorly.

5. It Can Cause Bad Behaviour

Drug abuse may cause harmful habits and problems with family and friends.

Saying No to Unsafe Drugs

Children should:

  1. Refuse unknown substances.
  2. Tell a responsible adult.
  3. Never follow friends into unsafe drug use.
  4. Use medicine only correctly.
