Different Forms of Greeting

People greet in different ways. Some forms of greeting include:

• speaking politely,
• shaking hands where appropriate,
• bowing,
• kneeling,
• prostrating,
• waving.

Greetings at Different Times

🌅 In the morning:

Good morning.

☀️ In the afternoon:

Good afternoon.

🌇 In the evening:

Good evening.

Greetings in Nigerian Cultures

Different cultural groups may greet in different ways. Examples:

• Some girls and women may kneel when greeting elders.
• Some boys and men may prostrate.
• Some people bow slightly.
• Some people use respectful words in their local languages.

Respectful Greeting Behaviour

When greeting:

1. Speak clearly.
2. Use polite words.
3. Look calm and respectful.
4. Do not shout rudely.
5. Respond when someone greets you.
