Three-Digit Numbers
A three-digit number has:

Example:

- 2 hundreds
- 3 tens
- 4 units
Adding Three-Digit Numbers
Example:
123 + 245
Add the units:
3 + 5 = 8
Add the tens:
2 + 4 = 6
Add the hundreds:
1 + 2 = 3
Therefore:
123 + 245 = 368
Another Example
214 + 132
Units:
4 + 2 = 6
Tens:
1 + 3 = 4
Hundreds:
2 + 1 = 3
Therefore:
214 + 132 = 346
