Meaning of Pronouns
A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun.
Examples of pronouns:
- I

- we
- they
Use of Pronouns
👦 Tunde is a boy. He is tall.
👧 Ada is a girl. She is kind.
🐕 This is a dog. It is brown.
👦👧 Tunde and Ada are pupils. They are in school.
👫 Ada and I are friends. We play together.
Replacing Nouns with Pronouns
- Bola is reading. → She is reading.
- Musa is running. → He is running.
- The cat is sleeping. → It is sleeping.
- Tolu and Bisi are singing. → They are singing.
Simple Reading Passage
My Friends
Ada and Tunde are my friends. Ada is a kind girl. She likes to read. Tunde is a good boy. He likes to play football. We go to school together.
