Meaning of Water
Water is a liquid that is very important to people,
plants and animals. 💧 We need water every day.
Sources of Water
A source of water is a place from which we get
water. Some sources of water are:
- Rain.
- River.
- Stream.
- Spring.
- Well.
- Borehole.
- Tap.
Natural Sources of Water
Natural sources occur in nature. Examples: 🌧️ Rain. 🏞️ River. 💦
Stream. 🌊 Spring.
Other Sources of Water
People also obtain water from:
- Wells.
- Boreholes.
- Taps.
Water in Our Community
Different communities may get water from different places. Some
people use: 🚰 Tap water. 🪣 Well water. 💧 Borehole water.
Importance of Clean Water
Sources
Water sources should be kept clean. We should not:
- Throw refuse into rivers.
- Wash dirty objects inside drinking-water sources.
- Defecate near water sources.
