Revision of Insect Parts
An insect has three main body parts:
- head
- thorax
- abdomen
It also has:
- six legs
- antennae
- wings in many insects
Simple Insect Diagram
A simple insect drawing should show:
Head → Thorax → Abdomen
The legs are attached to the thorax. The antennae are found on the head.
Steps in Drawing an Insect
- Draw a small circle for the head.
- Draw another shape for the thorax.
- Draw a larger shape for the abdomen.
- Add six legs.
- Add two antennae.
- Add wings where necessary.
